Sensory Room Discovery Days | Event Highlights & Next Steps
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our recent Sensory Room Discovery Days! If you missed it, here’s what happened - and how you can still come and experience our sensory and learning spaces in person.
Our recent Sensory Room Discovery Days at our Nottingham show site were a huge success! Over two inspiring days, we welcomed teachers, SENCOs, headteachers, OTs, business managers and education leaders from across the Midlands and beyond to experience our new dual-space school building in person.
Visitors explored both of our purpose-built rooms:
-
Sensory Room – designed in partnership with Sensory Technology to showcase calming lighting, textures and interactive equipment for pupils with SEND.
-
Teaching & Learning Room – a versatile classroom-style space for small group work, interventions, creative sessions or wraparound care.
It was brilliant to connect with so many passionate professionals, share ideas around inclusive learning environments, and see first-hand how thoughtful modular design can transform support and learning spaces in schools.
Couldn’t make it to the event?
You can still experience our dual-space education building by booking a tour/sensory demo at our Nottingham show site. Our education building experts will walk you through the design, layout and sensory technology options, and help you explore what’s possible for your own school or educational setting. Whether you’re planning a new sensory room, intervention space or modular classroom, we’d love to show you how we can help!

PAST HIGHLIGHTS
Creating Inspiring Spaces for SEND and ALN Education
At Cabins for Schools, we design and build spaces that make a genuine difference for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
In 2024, we were honoured to exhibit at The National Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Conference and nasen Live, where we met passionate SEND professionals, SENCOs, and education leaders from across the UK. These events offered an invaluable opportunity to understand first‑hand the evolving needs of the sector, to learn from specialists, and to showcase how our accessible log cabins, sensory rooms, quiet spaces, and multi‑purpose learning environments can help transform SEND provision in schools.
Each space we design is created with precision, working in 10cm increments to fit your available area perfectly. Our team of education building experts guides you from concept to installation, ensuring that every learning or support space we build reflects best practice in SEND design. With a commitment to inclusivity, quality, and long‑term support, we’re proud to help schools across the UK create environments that nurture every student’s potential. We’ll work with you to create a tailored solution, one that supports learning, promotes emotional wellbeing, and inspires growth every step of the way.
